With compassion: Are you ready to be the Link Breaker in your Family?
Yes, I did say that!
Recently I had a very jolting revelatory moment. On my father’s side there has been a serious health issue for years. In fact, it killed him many years ago at a relatively young age. Why I speak of this now is that just a week ago I was faced with the same ‘challenge’! However, something in my Heart and Higher Mind said to me, "this is yours to ‘let go’ for all generations past, present and future, healing not only your father but all on a collective level!!!"
Well, I was terrified at first but in deep reflection with acceptance and surrender, I let go and asked for assistance – prayers and divine guidance and got it big time!!! I also allowed the possibility of this ‘condition’ ending here and now.
Without further detail, a ‘miracle’ occurred as I felt myself clearing any ancestral dis-ease from my body. When the results came back from the sonogram at ER, it showed totally CLEAR !!! I was in joyful shock and continue to be in total awe and gratitude.
It occurred to me that with these challenging times, come also the most incredible powerful energies to assist each of us if we are ready to ‘break the link’ and ASK and RECEIVE with compassion.
As divine synchronicities occur, today I received this email from Sophie Bashford...
It's a bittersweet day for me - my Mum's birthday. She was born on the 7th, and died suddenly on the 7th of the 7th, 1977. She was 28 years old, I was 4.
During the years of my suppressed grief - throughout my childhood, teens and early 20s - this day would go past without even a flicker of memory or recognition.
I'd buried so much inside me that my mother's birthday never even registered on my radar. It wasn't acknowledged by my family - not, I hasten to add, because they didn't care. But because they weren't shown how to cope with their own loss, sorrow and tragedy.
I've come to realise that loss, grief and trauma are like spirals. Healing these experiences is not a straight line. They are not things to be 'got over' or ticked off from personal growth checklists.
If you are grieving right now, I give you permission to feel what you feel. You don't have to explain or justify it to anyone. You don't have to rush to 'feel better'.
Grief and emotional pain have their own deeply healing pathways: a sacred intelligence that cannot be rationalised away nor imposed upon by anyone else's agenda.
Do reach out to talk with someone you trust - a person you feel emotionally safe with. If you're really sinking inside the waves, I encourage you to call a helpline, therapist or counsellor. You're not alone - what you feel is real, and requires careful attention.
Once I had moved through the most intense (and daunting) processing of my early childhood mother-loss, I had a volcanic spiritual awakening.
I could feel that my emotional healing was having an effect beyond my own life.
Every step I took to dissolve the mountains of feelings and repressed energy inside me was flowing out to my mother, giving her a helping hand to heal what she needed to heal.
I couldn't explain this phenomenon - I just knew in every cell of my being that it was happening.
The Buddhist nun, Sister Dang Nghiem talks about this in her book 'Healing: A Woman's Journey from Doctor to Nun':
"My mother gets to transform through me. If I didn't change, I would continue my mother's life with all of its suffering...
We can live a life of such busyness, pain and sorrow that, even if we're successful, if we carry on it that way, we will feed our own pain.
When I transform, I stop that cycle...I transform for my mother and for the generations before her."
You may be the 'link-breaker' in your family. It may feel like lifetimes of chained-up soul energy is on your shoulders to carry. And I know how heavy that can feel.
But I also know you're the one who's chosen to come in and break the cycle. And this immense courage attracts so much Light to you. It brings in legions of ancestral and spiritual guides to walk by your side. To help ease the burdens, and dissolve them.
I acknowledge you deeply for being the transforming consciousness in your lineage.
She spoke of this ancestral link breaking which simply inspired me to share my ‘miracle’ link breaker experience! Remember if you have chosen to be the one who came to ‘break the link’, the depth of courage it takes will attract “so much Light to you. It brings in legions of ancestral and spiritual guides to walk by your side. To help ease the burdens, and dissolve them.“
There is deep respect for those of you who have agreed to be the transforming consciousness in your lineage.
